This blend is a smoky ruby color with a magenta rim and very
good clarity. Medium intensity aromas of black currant and black
cherry, light intensity dark roast coffee and a note of cedar
are trimmed with hints of sweet oak and smoke. In the mouth,
medium intensity black currant dominates notes of cedar and
dusty, dried herbs. Lower medium bodied with restrained alcohol,
this wine has a smooth, though faintly dusty texture and a
supple mouthfeel owing to delicate tannins with the astringency
of fresh walnut skins. A long finish is an interplay of juicy
black currant and black cherries.

BOTTOM LINE: Very good.
Highly recommended.
A
distinct cabernet character shines through in this vibrant and
fresh wine. A hint of regional typicity in the form of a subtle
"Paso Dust" (reminiscent of dried dusty herbs) gives this wine
distinction and elegance. In winemaking circles, a "BOB Wine"
means a "Bottom of the Barrel" wine. This is anything but and
can be sipped alone or paired with grilled red meats, pizza and
good burgers - in hip waders or a tux (or evening gown). Ready
now, it's expected to evolve nicely over the next five to seven
years.
