Stinky glasses can spoil your wine. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry with a lint-free towel to prevent accumulation of minerals from tap water which can affect the taste of your wine. Aromatic compounds found in wood stains and finishes can settle on the glass even after short periods of storage – especially if the furniture is new. Wash and dry stemware that has been stored for a longer time before pouring.
