redwinebuzz.com is taking off! Since its inception not too long ago, a market and mission have been defined. A long-term plan has been laid down to bring to life a great source of education and information about California’s Central Coast wine country and its wines. It is the mission of redwinebuzz.com to demystify wine for the novice and heighten the level of understanding of the more advanced. By being a one-point stop for general wine education with an emphasis on education and information about Central Coast wineries and winemakers, redwinebuzz.com will bring California’s Central Coast wines and wine lovers closer together. The redwinebuzz.com team is working hard to develop a network within the world of Central Coast wines. These efforts to develop a presence in this community, will serve our readers by giving them inside and in-depth views into the wineries and their wines. We are also expanding our readership on a daily basis. Be it through spontaneous sign-ups or word-of-mouth, people are catching the buzz! redwinebuzz.com will bring you education about wine and wine making as well as informative wine-related articles written in an entertaining style. We will also review wine stores and wine bars in Orange County. Our founder and resident wine writer, Arthur Przebinda will be the source of educational material. Arthur will present a unique format for tasting and reviewing wines which is based on a different platform than mainstream wine ratings which tend to be based on an absolute reference point of individual wine critics. This format will demystify the world of wine and guide consumers towards better wine purchasing decisions based on their own preferences. Arthur will also write interviews with wine makers with in-depth winery information. redwinebuzz.com will also bring you wine-related merchandise, wine-related travel deals and wine retail. Vice President of Marketing Irene Gross has been charged with product development. “We are not functioning in a vacuum.” she says “We will develop merchandise and travel deals nobody else has. All these things are in the works and it’s very exciting.” The core or our development team is comprised of individuals with extensive wine knowledge and proven experience in business development, marketing and product development. Drawing on his experiences teaching residents and medical students, Arthur will convey his knowledge of wine to readers. “There are many educated, intelligent people out there who want to get into wine but just don’t know where to start” says Arthur. “Nobody becomes a wine expert overnight. In order to reach people with all levels of understanding about wine, we will have a ‘Wine U’ section which will present wine education materials. redwinebuzz.com’s philosophy is that California wines set the tone and the standard for American wines. As a group they are bolder and more assertive than their old world cousins. To discuss which is better is as much a moot point as is the fact that not everyone appreciates subtle Bordeaux or Burgundies and, on the other side of the issue, bold California Cabernets or Rhone–style blends are not cherished by all wine drinkers. Novices do not have a sense of the spectrum of wines across the world and may not know how these wines fit in the spectrum. redwinebuzz.com will be the guide in this landscape. Connoisseurs, who may be firmly rooted in French standards of wine, may still benefit from seeing California wines in the context of wine science and climate differences and come to a deeper appreciation of California wines and find their comfort zones in the selection instead of limiting their wine experience. “We are more about education and guidance than about advocacy”, says Arthur. “Market pressures, formal competitions and wine maker’s ambitions will drive wine quality in the right direction. Still, there will be various twists on wine styles – be they dictated by growing conditions, fruit selection or creative bend. Our role will be to educate people about wine and through information, guide them through an exploration of the world of Central Coast wines, help them to find their individual preferences and, based on those tools, help them in their purchasing decisions.” The first phase of growth for redwinebuzz.com is to develop a solid information and education platform with an extensive calendar of events, wine reviews and wine journalism. Content is continuously being added in the order in which a novice would naturally acquire knowledge. Basics will come first, then detailed winery and vineyard information. In addition, we will publish newsletter each month. Keep watching our site for these developments!
