Citing redwinebuzz.com content June 13, 2007 Miller "family" grows. Lalia M. Hirschkorn has been named the new Assistant Manager of Sales for French Camp Vineyards. The huge (1,700 acre) Paso Robles vineyard located east by southeast of the town of Paso Robles is part of the Miller family's holdings which also include: Bien Nacido Vineyard, Solomon Hills Vineyard, Central Coast Wine Services and Paso Robles Wine Services. Hirschkorn comes to join the French Camp staff after working on the Grower Relations team for Foster Wine Estates Americas. "Besides grape sales, during harvest I will be providing customers with the information and help they need." she says in the press release. Read the full press release. The winegrowers and winemakers of Santa Maria Valley had come together with chefs, restaurant and hotel professionals about a year ago to form an association to promote the Santa Maria Valley as more than just a source of premium wines but also as a great place to visit. In a marketing campaign intended to draw focus on California as a distinct and leading wine growing region, the California Association of Winegrape Growers declared California’s independence as a country - wine country that is. The marketing campaign, called "One Nation Under Vines" is aimed at framing public opinion of California as a producer of global caliber wines.
